Diamond Squid (Thysanoteuthis rhombus), also known as the diamondback squid, or rhomboid squid is a large species of squid from the family Thysanoteuthidae which is found worldwide, throughout tropical and subtropical waters. T. rhombus is given its name for the appearance of the fins that run the length of the mantle.

Sharpear enope squid (Ancistrocheirus lesueurii) is a deep-water species found in the mesopelagic depths (200–1000 m down) throughout the oceans tropical and subtropical regions. The only species in the genus Ancistrocheirus and family Ancistrocheiridae, enopes grow to a moderate size with a mantle length of 25 cm.

According to Wikipedia, there are about 64 species of flying fish grouped between seven to nine different genera, more than half of them are found in the Atlantic Ocean. Regardless of which one you come across near the surface during a blackwater dive, they can be fantastic subjects to get.

Juvenile sharp-tailed mola mola (Masturus lanceolatus) roughly 3 inches in length. Ma. lanceolatus can grow quite large, as large as 10 feet long and 902 lbs.
